Practical regulation strategies
Students leave with concrete strategies for managing strong emotions — not just an understanding that they should.
For schools
A self-contained, approximately two-hour workshop for Year 3–6 students, designed to slot into a school day without a long lead-up. Everything you need is here — what's included, what it costs, and how to book.
Why schools book Mind Matters
Students leave with concrete strategies for managing strong emotions — not just an understanding that they should.
Expressing feelings respectfully and listening actively, practised through structured communication activities.
Realistic scenarios give students a supported place to work through disagreements before they arise for real.
Games, discussions and activities keep upper-primary students engaged for the full session.
We teach the topic so your staff don't have to build it from scratch — and students who can resolve their own disagreements need less teacher intervention afterwards. That's time back for planning and teaching the curriculum.
Written specifically for Year 3–6 — the language, examples and activities are pitched for this age group.
Run on site at your school or live online, whichever suits your timetable and budget.
Mind Matters is designed to give students practical tools they can apply when navigating challenging situations. It is an educational skill-building workshop — we don't claim it prevents bullying, guarantees fewer conflicts, or replaces your school's existing wellbeing supports.
What makes us different
Plenty of programs cover emotional wellbeing. Fewer cover conflict resolution. Very few do both, for this age group, delivered directly in schools.
Most offerings pick one. Students need both — recognising a feeling is only useful if you also know what to do next.
Not a secondary program trimmed down. The language, examples and activities are written for upper primary from the start.
We come to your classroom rather than asking families to seek out a clinic or external service. Every student in the room takes part.
Our clear difference is how we teach it: age-appropriate, fun and engaging, built around interactive games rather than explanation. Students leave with strategies they've already practised, not just heard about.
Who is it for?
The workshop is built for upper-primary students, and works equally well in a standalone primary school or in the primary years of a K–12 school.
It's typically arranged by:
Group size is flexible — from a single class through to a full year level. See pricing for how group sizes are structured.
What schools receive
The list below reflects what is actually part of the current workshop — nothing more.
Pricing and workshop options may be customised depending on school requirements.
Additional costs
Two additional items apply on top of the workshop cost.
Group pricing
The workshop component is priced in bands based on how many students take part. Larger groups are accommodated by scaling the session accordingly.
| Group size | Workshop component |

A school's total is made up of the booking fee, the workshop component for your group size and delivery format, and printing where printed resources are required. We'll confirm the exact figure in writing before anything is locked in.
Tell us your year levels, approximate student numbers and whether you'd prefer in-person or online delivery, and we'll come back with a clear quote.
Pricing shown covers the workshop and its materials. Any further arrangements — such as travel outside our standard delivery area, or additional sessions — would be discussed and confirmed with your school before booking.

About Mind Matters
Mind Matters is an educational wellbeing initiative built around a single, practical workshop for Year 3–6 students.
[ Short background on who created Mind Matters and why — to be added ]
The workshop was developed by reviewing Australian research on primary-aged students and interviewing a parent, a senior teacher and a junior teacher. See the research.
Schools need this confirmed before anyone works with their students. We'll provide current documentation with your booking.
A staff member remains with the group for the whole session, in line with your school's own policies.
Questions
Approximately two hours. We can discuss how that's scheduled around your timetable — including whether it runs as one block or is split.
Years 3 to 6. The content, language and activities are written specifically for this age group. Mixed groups across those year levels work well.
Yes. The core content is the same, with activities adapted so students are still participating rather than just watching. Online delivery runs through your school's preferred video platform.
Group sizes are flexible, from a single class up to a full year level. Pricing is structured in bands based on participant numbers — see the pricing page.
No. Mind Matters is an educational skill-building workshop. It doesn't provide counselling, assessment or clinical support, and it isn't a substitute for your school's wellbeing team or external services.
No preparation is required. We'll confirm the space, equipment and student numbers beforehand, and a staff member stays with the group in line with your school's policies.
In-person delivery has a higher minimum workshop cost because it includes on-site facilitation and printed materials. Online delivery removes those costs, so the minimum is lower. The content covered is the same.
Printing applies at $5 per participant where printed worksheets and activity resources are required. For online sessions, digital resources can be used instead.
Yes. The $30 booking fee applies to every confirmed booking and sits on top of the workshop component.
Pricing and workshop options may be customised depending on school requirements. If your situation doesn't fit neatly into the bands above, get in touch and we'll work something out.
